Browsing through the historic woodcuts of the archive there is a large amount of beautifully decorated frames to be found. They are an indication of a person, an object, a subject—without actually showing it. The poster visualizes the fascination for the unknown, the unshown: What lies beyond the wodden blocks of the archive? Which memories are forgotten or were never preserved at all? These blind spots of the archive leave space for our personal imagination.

Inspired by the richly ornamented initial letters, the poster combines geometric shapes and organic lines into a typographic composition. Printed on translucent material the design merges with the world and mind of each viewer.
